Thank you for attending our first online patient forum webinar online with Dr Kate Harrison on Thursday 10th December 2020.
We dedicated this event to the late John McNeil, a member of our PPG who sadly passed away earlier this year. John’s active role in the PPG and influence over the years encouraged us all down a route of thinking more about mindful practice in our everyday. He had a vision to start talking therapy sessions for our patients at the surgery, and his final words to the group were:
“I’m aware of folks suffering mental health and stress issues due to being locked down, adding to other problems…….I’d be very happy to help to make a difference for anyone while putting my enforced isolation to good use would seem beneficial.”
John touched all our hearts, and will truly be missed for all the positive work he had done and the impacts he made to the community.
We were delighted with a fantastic turnout online with over 100 patients who connected with us online to hear the fantastic presentation on mindfulness and wellbeing.
